TESTIMONIAL:
I have never met such a group of kind,
generous people. We called them our
“angels”. Your help made my husband's
final days easier, for him and me.

Hospice Experiences

My Dad would have wanted this said to all of you in hospice. He loved all of you deeply. He was uplifted after each visit and I have to admit it also did me too. I want to thank each and all of you for caring for my Dad. I am forever grateful.

I wanted to thank you for giving such wonderful support to our Mother and our family in our time of need. We were also fortunate to have you with us on Mom's journey to her final rest. It is so special to have found an organization such as yours. Your entire staff and all of the loving people that helped us in Mom's final hours were so kind and thoughtful. You should all feel so blessed to be around each other every day. You are all like angels sent here to spread the love of the Lord to others before they return to him. You all are truly beautiful and loving human beings and our family is so blessed to have had your tender care in our time of need. My entire family is very fortunate to have met you and to have had you at our side.

We have heard praise for DeKalb County Hospice for decades now. Not until we were facing end-of-life issues with our own loved one did we fully appreciate the miracle that is the hospice. Who wouldn't want their last days to be spent in the comfort of their home being cared for by children who adore them? Knowing you were a phone call away with your gentle guidance and knowledge made this possible for us. There were times we didn't think a phone call was enough and you came over again. You have no idea how much you calmed and encouraged us. Because of you, our loved one was able to stay where she wanted as she quietly made her dignified journey from this world to the next. You really are the hands and feet of God. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the wonderful folks of the DeKalb County Hospice.

This is a letter of thanks and admiration. From the first phone call to the last visit, your skill, compassion and dedication were always in evidence. We had not one complaint or reservation about the choice we made. Thank you for the care and support that made it possible for our loved one to come home.

Deepest appreciation to everyone who assisted us with our loved one's final journey of life. Your professionalism, gentle and loving works, and your deep sense of caring touched our hearts. We knew that hospice was a special organization but when it personally touches your life, you come to understand, more fully how important and meaningful your commitment is to the family and its well being.

We would like to thank you for your wonderful care and compassion for our Dad during his final days. Each time I called I was able to speak to someone immediately and a nurse would arrive within the hour. Everyone involved in his care treated him with such dignity and saw to our needs as well - listening when we needed to talk. The advice on how to keep him comfortable and when to give him extra help dealing mostly with emotional issues was invaluable. We are blessed that he suffered very little pain. God bless each of you.
